Speake's Plumbing
Independent plumbing · Garland, TX. A complete operating system, built unasked and given free — sample numbers, real workflow.
Built for you. Unasked.
Grant — the hours you're closed have no memory.
Phone-first is the right call for a plumber. Someone with water coming through a ceiling should hear a human, and your header has promised free estimates by phone since long before anyone had a website to put it on. That part isn't the problem.
The problem is 9pm. A water heater goes at nine on a Sunday, the homeowner finds you, and there is nowhere for them to leave their name — so at 7am Monday that job belongs to whoever picked up first. Nine plumbers and eight stocked vans, and the work is decided by who was awake.
So this week I built the thing that remembers: one dispatch queue that catches after-hours work and holds it in order, a live map of every crew, the parts on each van, which job a callback belongs to, and what each crew actually earned. Your workflow, sample numbers. Keep it, correct it, or make it real. No invoice either way.

Positions refresh every 30 seconds off the truck GPS. When a call lands, the router scores every crew on drive time, skill match, and parts already on the truck — the dispatcher confirms instead of guessing.
What this is worth to you
Deliberately conservative estimates, built from what's publicly visible about Speake's Plumbing and national average rates. Every assumption is listed below — if any of it misreads how you actually run, tell us and we'll correct it.
18.5hrs / week
Office hours returned
Work the system does with nobody watching it
$50.8K/ year
Conservative value
18.5 hrs × 52 wks × $26/hr loaded + recovered jobs
120days / year
Working days handed back
Eight-hour days, returned to the people you already employ
And for the people you serve
They can leave the job at 9pm and get a confirmation, instead of hoping they remember to call back.
They are told which crew is coming and when, rather than a four-hour window.
The plumber arrives already knowing the history of that house.
A callback is looked up, not argued about.
Your move — one tap, goes straight to my phone
Three honest answers. Any of them makes my week.
Another independent business gets one of these next. Another finished system, free.
What this is, and what it isn't
This one was free because it's a sample.
Speake's Plumbing never asked for this and never paid for it. It was built from the outside, on sample numbers, to show what the answer to their specific problem looks like when someone actually builds it. That is a concept build, and giving one away free is how this practice introduces itself. It is not the product.
A drop — what you are looking at
Designed from the outside — from what is publicly visible about the business
Runs on sample data, connected to nothing real
One shape of an answer, published so anyone can judge the work
A commissioned build — what a client gets
Built to requirements gathered on a call, not guessed from a website
Wired into the real calendar, phone, records, payments and POS
Built on your stack — WordPress, Shopify, or hosted for you
Yours to keep: the code, the configuration and the data
Tested against how your team actually works, and supported after handover
Priced to scope, open-ended from $2,000. A 25% deposit reserves your build slot and is fully refundable if the requirements call shows it isn't the right fit.
